Pregnancy is a time of both exhilaration and apprehension as we step into the unknown. Whether you plan a hospital or home birth, labor with or without anesthesia, Hatha yoga can give you the confidence, energy and serenity to help you through childbirth and the early months of motherhood. Appropriate and safe exercise is an important preparation for childbirth and the challenging demands of raising a child. In our prenatal class, join other mothers-to-be for a relaxing workout designed to develop flexibility, strength and stamina in preparation for labor. You'll also learn breathing techniques that effectively reduce stress. In our postnatal class, regain muscle tone lost during pregnancy and work out any kinks left over from labor. Be sure to wear loose fitting clothes and don't forget to bring your newborn along! Enrollment is continuous so you are welcome to join in at any time.

Juliette Kurth is a certified yoga instructor with more than ten years of teaching experience in the Hatha yoga tradition. Since 1995, she has specialized in pre and post natal yoga instruction. She, along with her husband Jonathan Emerson, are the co-directors of Silver Lake Yoga and the parents of two children.
