Anna Scott

Anna attended her first yoga class at the age of ten and remembers being amazed at the strength and flexibility of the instructor who must have been at least forty! Many years later, after obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre and Art History and making a living as an actor on stage and in TV and Film in Europe and the US, Anna decided that it was time to enhance her daily running discipline with a yoga practice that would encompass the emotional and spiritual aspects as well as physical.

She believes the benefits to be immeasurable in her current life as actor/writer and filmmaker. Anna spent fifteen years studying with extraordinary teachers: Frank White, Brian Kest along with others at The Center for Yoga. She enhanced her Astanga practice by studying at BKS Iyengar Yoga Institute and attended rigorous workshops at The White Lotus Foundation in Santa Barbara. Anna believes that a yoga practice is organic and constantly evolving and that every yoga class is a gift as there is much to gain no matter who the teacher or their background. She incorporates her years of training in modern dance to teach a flowing yet strong and challenging practice that is ultimately strengthening and relaxing.
