Ann O’Brien

A life exploring movement and spiritual growth naturally led Ann O’Brien to yoga. She began in 1994 at Mount Madonna Center with Baba Hari Das where she practiced asana, pranayama, and meditation and discovered ayurveda. Since then, she has studied with many renowned teachers including Max Strom, Annie Carpenter, Sara Ivanhoe, Brad Keimach, and Gurmukh, and received Yoga Works teacher training.
Besides her yoga background, Ann has also practiced and taught Aikido and studied and performed improvisational theater, poetry, African singing, and modern and African dance. Since 1997 Ann has pursued intuitive development and energy healing, and has practiced daily meditation focused on energy balancing and awareness practices. Since 2000 she has studied and apprenticed with Michael Tamura, former director of the Berkeley Psychic Institute, and has offered lectures and seminars on intuition and healing across the U.S. Due to such an eclectic background along with her own practice and work with thousands of people, Ann honors body, mind and spirit and realizes that all paths take us to the same goal. In her classes, she loves to help you relax and connect with yourself, your power and your inner peace.
When not teaching yoga, Ann works with individuals offering intuitive readings and energetic healings designed to empower people on their spiritual path and to realize their dreams. www.AnnOBrien.net
